The property's location was perfect for us, being close to town yet still feeling remote. We loved the proximity to the riding school and the charming clickadee clack each morning. Our dogs also enjoyed the local walks and the smells of the area. the cottage itself was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed. It was the perfect base for exploring the local sights.
Felt very secure, no reason to complain.

The cottage itself was warm and comfortable, with ample hot water. It was also very clean and welcoming upon arrival. the beds were good and there were large towels provided.
Although the cottage had most of the facilities we needed, we found the cooking facilities to be lacking. It would have been helpful to have a larger pan for cooking for a larger group.

The cottage was clean and welcoming, and we felt comfortable during our stay. The beds were good and the bath/shower had plenty of hot water. The cooking facilities were good and the dishwasher made clean-up easy. We also enjoyed the peaceful and private surroundings, with the option to explore the large area of land around the cottage. Additionally, the owner was attentive and checked in with us to ensure we were happy.
While we had a mostly positive experience, there were a few areas for improvement. we would have liked more pillows in the cottage.

We had a fantastic stay in this picturesque cottage surrounded by beautiful scenery. the comfortable beds and fantastic shower made us feel right at home. the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed for a weekend getaway, and the Tesco Express and petrol station nearby made shopping a breeze. the location was great, just a short drive away from Buxton, and the peacefulness of the area was perfect for a relaxing break.
The lack of bath mat and non-stick pans required a bit of extra effort to manage.

We had a fantastic weekend stay at Fern Farm Cottages. The cottage was warm, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for our needs. We especially enjoyed the lovely walk up to Solomans mount right from our doorstep. The WiFi was surprisingly great, considering the location. The bathroom was nicely fitted and had great water pressure. we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Fern Farm Cottages for a couple or small group looking for a cozy getaway.

Spacious cottage, warm and welcoming, bigger than expected, good-sized kitchen.
Nothing could have been better.

Our Christmas stay was quite disappointing. the cottage was very cold when we arrived, and it took a long time to warm up. the photos we saw online did not accurately represent the size of the cottage. It was much smaller than expected, and we felt cramped with our family of four. Plus, the kitchen was quite small and lacked necessary cooking equipment. the location was also a letdown, as it was further away from the town center than we had anticipated.
The cleanliness of the cottage was quite questionable. We found a sock behind one of the bedroom doors that clearly belonged to the previous tenants.
